Cricket News Download

Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-05. Applies to the Cricket News Android app (com.cricketnews.live) and the website cricketnews.app.

Summary

The app has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location or device identifiers.

Data stored on your phone

Bookmarks, favourite teams, language, theme, text size and a short-lived cache of loaded feeds are stored in the app's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us. “Clear cache” in Settings removes the cached feeds, and uninstalling the app removes everything.

Network requests

To load news, the app sends your search terms or the selected feed to the freenewsapi.ai news service. Like any web server, that service receives your IP address and the request itself, and may keep technical logs. No account or advertising identifier is attached.

Article pictures are loaded directly from publishers' servers, which therefore also receive your IP address.

When you tap “Read full story”, the article opens in your browser on the publisher's website. That site has its own privacy policy and may use cookies and trackers; we do not control it.

Permissions

The app requests one Android permission: internet access.

This website

The website serves static pages and the APK file. Our web server and the Cloudflare network in front of it process IP addresses and request logs for security and reliability. The “Latest news” page requests headlines from freenewsapi.ai from your browser.

Children

The app is a general news reader and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

Changes

If the app starts using advertising, analytics or accounts, this page will be updated before that version is released.
