Questions and answers
About the app, installing it and where the news comes from.
Is Cricket News free?
Yes. The app is free, has no account or sign-up, and no in-app purchases.
Where does the news come from?
Headlines come from news publishers and cricket sites around the world, gathered through the freenewsapi.ai news index. Each card shows the publisher's name, and “Read full story” opens the original article on the publisher's site.
Does the app show live scores or ball-by-ball commentary?
No. Cricket News is a news reader: match reports, squads, injuries, interviews, auctions and analysis. For live scores, use a scores app alongside it.
How do I install an APK file?
Tap Download, open the downloaded file, and allow your browser or file manager to install apps when Android asks. The download page has step-by-step instructions.
Is it safe to install?
The APK is signed by us and you can check the file against the SHA-256 checksum on the download page. The app asks for one permission only: internet access.
Which Android versions are supported?
Android 8.0 (Oreo) and newer.
Which languages does the app support?
The interface is available in 15 languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Sinhala, Nepali, Pashto and Afrikaans. The app picks your phone's language automatically and you can change it in Settings.
Are the articles in my language too?
The feed follows the app language when enough articles exist in it — Hindi works well. When a language has too few fresh cricket stories, the feed falls back to English.
Can I follow only my team?
Yes. Open Teams, pick one or more national sides, and the app builds a single feed for them.
Does the app work offline?
Stories you already loaded stay available from the cache and your bookmarks are kept on the phone. Loading new stories and opening the full article need a connection.
Does Cricket News collect my data?
No account, no ads and no analytics inside the app. Bookmarks, favourite teams and settings are stored only on your phone. See the privacy page for details.
I am a publisher. How do I contact you?
Write to [email protected]. We link to the original article and show only a headline and a short summary; if you want your site removed from the app, tell us and we will do it.
